CONET supports IT Carve-Out and IT Operations of Emitec Technologies GmbH

Bonn, December 12, 2024. Emitec Technologies GmbH relies on CONET for IT services related to carve-out and operations. Following the success-ful separation of Emitec's IT from the IT infrastructure of the former parent company, CONET is now providing comprehensive managed services for the leading automotive supplier in the field of metal catalytic converters and metal particulate filters.

CONET Services GmbH had already been awarded the contract to support the IT separation of Emitec from the former parent company in 2022. “Divestments, i.e. the separation of a part of a company – usually to private equity investors, are very tightly timed projects due to strict requirements for signing and closing,” explains CONET Services Managing Director Claus Frömbgen. Peter Lenz, Head of Managed Services, adds: “A smooth transition of the IT involved is essential for the clean start of the new company. The selection of a suitable partner to carry out such an IT carve-out is therefore crucial.”

For Emitec, the choice of its long-standing consulting partner CONET was not difficult: “In the past, we had already repeatedly purchased special consulting services from CONET. We therefore had a good feeling that we would also get the special skills for a professional carve-out here,” says Thomas Lelleck, Head of IT at Emitec Technologies. “As expected, the service provided by CONET was excellent.”

CONET and Emitec will continue to work closely together in the future. Emitec has concluded a multi-year IT outsourcing contract with CONET Services GmbH for the parts of the IT infrastructure that CONET played a key role in setting up or converting. This includes services for clients and networks as well as support for Microsoft 365 architectures.

Emitec Technologies GmbH is a pioneer in the development and production of metallic catalyst substrates. Metalit® metal substrates are manufactured in Lohmar, Eisenach and India. These substrates are then converted into catalytic converters by applying a catalytic coating. These catalytic converters are installed in the exhaust systems of two-wheelers, passenger vehicles and trucks.
