CONET New Year's Donation 2025: 25,000 Euros for Bonn Youth Farm and German Children's Hospice Association
CONET Social Club bundles pre-Christmas fundraising campaigns by employees and management under the motto "Together for Children"
Bonn, 20 January 2025. The Bonn Youth Farm and the Outpatient Children's and Youth Hospice Service (AKHD) Bonn will receive a total of 25,000 euros as part of CONET's New Year's Donation 2025. Today at the CONET Group's Bonn headquarters on Bundeskanzlerplatz, the two organizations received their symbolic donation cheques for 12,500 euros each from CONET CEO Martin Wibbe and Sabine Cox, Director HR and responsible for the CONET Social Club.
The donations came from a series of pre-Christmas activities organized by the IT consultancy's employees and were then topped up by the company. 11,500 euros alone were raised in a raffle at the Christmas party at the company's Bonn site. In other fundraising initiatives, employees and trainees sold homemade cakes and mulled wine, and CEO Martin Wibbe baked fresh waffles for the staff using a secret family recipe in return for voluntary donations. The donation recipients were selected by sponsors in the CONET Social Club. CONET trainees had visited the recipients in advance and presented them in short video documentaries on the internal company portal.

"We are very grateful for the generous CONET donation, which has unexpectedly made additional projects possible in the current year," says Julia Lyß, representing the board of Jugendfarm Bonn e. V. "Our open work spaces are places where children can develop themselves and try out new things. Every donation helps us to make more of these experiences possible – be it through excursions, new play equipment or caring for the animals."
Fee Hemmrich, coordinator at the Bonn office of the Deutscher Kinderhospizverein e.V., adds: "Our aim is to support young people with life-shortening illnesses and their families according to their needs. We are delighted about the CONET donation, which will enable us to promote this valuable support, further expand the hospice service and improve the quality of life of the young people affected and their families."
For Sabine Cox, Director HR at CONET, the company's regular fundraising campaigns are not just a tradition: "'Giving together' is a matter close to our hearts at the CONET Social Club – we want to support people in difficult life situations and contribute in solidarity to making our society a little better and fairer.
