CONET and ACT Join Forces
The IT professionals from Hennef and Niederkassel extend their service portfolio and sharpen their profile as medium-sized challenger in the IT systems and consulting market.
Hennef/Niederkassel, 26th July 2017. The Hennef-based IT systems and consulting provider CONET and the IT consultants and service provider ACT Group based in Niederkassel will be tackling the future together. By notarial purchase contract, the CONET parent company, CONET Technologies Holding GmbH, has bought 100 percent of the ACT IT HOLDING GmbH’s shares on 17th July. This latest step of CONET’s steady growing path has been supported by their strategic partner H.I.G. Capital, who had joined forces with CONET in May 2017.
In the course of constantly progressing digitalization and simultaneously consolidation of IT both on the side of industrial customers and public clients, IT projects grow increasingly comprehensive and complex. To cope with this challenge, extensive services and resources must be provided in order to remain successful in the increasingly competitive IT market. Together, CONET and ACT now have more than 570 employees. Their accumulated annual turnover amounts to almost 100 million Euro.
„Together with ACT, we perfectly complement our service portfolio and our customer base. We can use synergies and utilize our extended personnel resources in a much more flexible way“, explains CONET’s Managing Director Anke Höfer. ACT CEO Werner Bücher adds: „Our collaboration with CONET highlights the strengths of each of our individual and specialized companies, thus securing their own and their employees’ positive development perspectives and a sustainable future.“
There will be no organizational changes for customers and employees. The ACT Group retains its structure and will continue to be managed by the Holding’s CEO Werner Bücher. All contracts will remain in effect without alteration. Structurally the ACT Group will be included into the CONET Group beside the service-providing CONET companies below the CONET Technologies Holding GmbH. Simultaneously, the ACT management becomes shareholder of the extended group beside the CONET management. This transaction is still subject to the consent of the responsible authorities.
„As a medium-sized challenger, we are looking forward to shaping the IT systems and consulting market even more actively in future“, as Höfer sums it up.
